Take a key from the bridge of locks,

and toss it in the grey green waters

laughing we will love forever.

Pass the blade with its secret name

three times round my fecund belly

singing we will love forever.

Strain the blood of my miscarried child

into the napkin on your lap

saying we will love forever.

Hold my madness in your wringing hands

pacing round the frozen room

crying we will love forever.

Stretch a slice of sagging flesh

across our once pumped nubile limbs,

and softly say we will stay together.

Forever.
